The bow is a traditional decoration. It can be used to decorate clothes, shoes, bags and children’s toys, make hairpins or appliques… And much more that you can think of.
Here I want to share my favorite free crochet bow patterns. Make it very easy. You will need a small amount of yarn, a hook and a few minutes of free time. So let’s start!
Materials: I used Bamboo yarn (70% bamboo fiber, 30% cotton) 50 gr/200 m, crochet hook 2 mm, scissors.
Note: In fact, you can use any yarn that you have and a hook recommended by the yarn manufacturer. If you use thicker yarn, you will get larger bows.

Elegant Bow
I want to start with my favorite bow. It looks very elegant. You can use it to decorate various things, and even use it as a Christmas tree decoration.
How to crochet elegant bow:
Round 1: Make Magic Ring and 6 sc in it. Sl st to join.
Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc into same stitch, ch 8, sl st to join ring, ( 2 sc into same stitsh ) x 3 times, ch 8, sl st to join ring, ( 2 sc into same stitsh ) x 2 times, sl st to first ch.
Round 3: 15 dc into ch-8 spase, skip 1 st, sl st to next st, ch 8, dc into third ch from hook, 3 dc into next 3 st, 1 hdc, 1 sc, sl st to next st of previous round, sl st to next st of previous round, ch 8, dc into third ch from hook, 3 dc into next 3 st, 1 hdc, 1 sc, sl st to next st of previous round, 15 dc into ch-8 spase, sl st to next st of previous round. Fasten off.
Classic Bow.
The next one is a classic bow pattern. Such bows made by our grandmothers. And maybe even grandmothers of grandmothers. You can make it very easy. I don’t even need a scheme.
How to crochet classic bow:
Row 1: Ch 32, dc into third stitch from hook, 29 dc into each st, Ch 3, turn.
Row 2-3: 29 dc into each st, Ch 3, turn.
Row 4: 29 dc into each st. Fasten off.
You should get a crocheted rectangle. Sew two ends together. Place the seam in the middle. Use the thread to bandage the middle and get a bow.
Cute little bow.
This cute little bow is great for decorating children’s clothes and toys. It is very gentle and soft, pleasant to the touch and will definitely enjoy the bebies. And the best news – to get it you need to make only 36 loops!
How to crochet cute little bow:
Make Magic Ring and ( ch 5, 7 dtc into the ring, ch 5, 1 sc into the ring) x 2 times, sl st to first ch. Fasten off.
Leave the thread about 15–20 cm long. Tighten the magic ring. The remaining thread rewind the middle of the bow. Tie a knot. Hide the ends of the thread.
