Crochet a Kelly Doll Dress

Today I will tell you how to crochet a Kelly doll dress.  This little doll, Barbie’s younger sister, is loved by many children and adults.  And of course you want to have beautiful clothes for her.

You can crochet this dress using my clear and free instructions or you can buy this Kelly clothes set (dress, hat and shoes) in my Etsy store.

The dress has fasteners at the back, it is convenient to put on and take off.
This project is very simple, even a beginner can handle it.  You can decorate the dress to your liking by lace, embroidery or beads.

Materials:

• Cotton yarn 100 gr / 1500m and crochet hook 1.5 mm,
• needle, scissors.

Abbreviations Used (In American Terms)

sts= stitches
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch

How to crochet Kelly ( 4 inch ) doll dress:

Row 1: Ch 17, 1 sc to second stitch from hook, 15 sc, Ch 1, turn
Row 2: 2 sc, Inc, 2 sc, Inc, 4 sc, Inc, 2 sc, Inc, 2 sc, Ch 1, turn
Row 3: 3 sc, Ch 3, 7 sc, Ch 3, 3 sc, CH2, turn
Row 4: 3 dc, 2 dc into ch3 arch, 7 dc, 2 dc into ch3 arch, 3 dc, Ch 3, turn
Row 5: (skip 1 stitch, 1 dc, Ch 1, 1 dc into same stitch) x 7 times, skip 1 stitch, 1 dc,  Ch 3, turn

Row 6: (4 dc into ch-1 arch) x  7 times, 1 dc into last stitch, ch3, turn
Row 7: (2 dc into middle stitch of dc-4 cluster, Ch 1, 2 dc into same stitch) x 7 times, 1 dc into last stitch, ch3, turn
Row 8: (3 dc into ch-1 arch, picot, 3 dc into same ch-1 arch) x 7 times, 1 dc into last stitch. Fasten off.

Process the edge:  8 sc on each left and right side.

Put on buttons.  Decorate the dress to your liking.
