Hello everyone!! Today I propose one more small but very cute project – crochet bee applique. You can use them to decorate your home, clothes, bags, or even create a birthday card for a friend or child.
The project is not large and not complicated, you will make it very fast and it will spend small amount of yarn.
Materials:
- Bamboo yarn 50 gr / 200 m black, yellow and white colors,
- crochet hook 1.5 mm,
- needle, thread, scissors.
Measurements: my crochet bee length is 2 inches and height is 1.4 inches.
Abbreviations Used (In American Terms)
sts= stitches
sc = single crochet
sl st = slip stitch
Inc = increase
Dec = decrease
How to crochet bee applique
Body:
Start work in black color yarn:
Ch 4, join into the ring
Row 1: Ch 1, 4 sc into the ring (4)
Row 2: Ch 1, Inc into each stitch (8)
Row 3: Ch 1, [1 sc, Inc] x 4 times (12)
Join yellow color yarn:
Row 4: Ch-1, 12 sc into each stitch (12)
Row 5: Ch 1, dec, 8 sc , dec (10)
Join black color yarn:
Row 6-7: Ch-1, 10 sc into each stitch (10)
Join yellow color yarn:
Row 8-9: Ch-1, 10 sc into each stitch (10)
Join black color yarn:
Row 10-11: Ch-1, 10 sc into each stitch (10)
Join yellow color yarn:
Row 12: Ch-1, 10 sc into each stitch (10)
Row 13: Ch 1, Dec, 6 sc, Dec (8)
Row 14: Ch 1, Dec, 4 sc, Dec (6)
Row 15: Ch 1, Dec, 2 sc, Dec (4)
Fasten off.
Horn:
Work in black color yarn:
Ch 8, 3 sc to second stitch from hook, sl. st. into same stitch. Fasten off.
Wings:
Work in white color yarn
Magic Ring. 6 sc into magic ring, sl.st. to join. Fasten off.
Connect all the parts. Add your eyes. Our funny bees are ready!
