Crochet butterfly pattern

Yesterday I crocheted butterflies to decorate the dress of my daughter. She was pleased and I decided to share this crochet butterfly pattern with you too. This can be used not only to decorate clothes, but also as part of the decor of your room or as a magnet on your fridge.

Crochet butterfly

Materials: I used yarn Bamboo (70% bamboo fiber, 30 % cotton, 50 gr/200 m) color pink and black and crochet hooks 2 mm and 1 mm.

Abbreviations:

CH – chain

SC – single crochet

DC – double crochet

TRC – treble crochet

sl.st. – slip stitch

How to crochet butterfly:

Ch 9 and join with sl st to form a ring.

Row 1:  Ch 3 (count as 1 dc), 7 dc into the ring.

Row 2:  Ch 2, 1 dc in first stitch, 2 dc ,  2-dc into same stitch 3 times, 2 dc.

Row 3: Ch 2, 1 dc in first stitch, 3 dc, 2-trc into same stitch, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st, ch 2, 2-dc into same stitch, 2-trc into same stitch, 1 trc. Fasten off. Crochet the second wing in the same way. Starting from the same side.

Change color, I used black. Also I used a smaller crochet hook (1 mm) for tighter crochet.

Row 4:  Getting crocheted from the base ring as shown in the diagram. 1 sc into the ring, 5 sc into side stitches  of wing, ch 2, 4 sc into 4 dc of  last row, 2-sc into same stitch, 2-sc into same stitch, 1 sc, sl st into dc, sl st into center ch-2, sl st into sl st previews row, sl st into center next ch-2, 1 sc, 1 dc, 2-trc into same stitch, 2 dc, ch2, 1 sc into same stitch, 6 sc into side stitches, 1 sc into base ring, (ch 5, picot, 5 sl st into each stitch, 1 sl st into sc) x times, 7 sc into side stitches, ch 2, 2 dc, 2-trc into same stitch, 1 dc, 1 sc, sl st into center ch-2, sl st into sl st previews row, sl st into center next ch-2, sl st into dc, 1 sc, 2-sc into same stitch, 2-sc into same stitch, 4 sc, ch 2, 5 sc into side stitches, sl st into first sc. Fasten off.
