Crochet coasters

If you have small bits of cotton yarn and a litle time you can make crochet coasters for you home. Also it are great housewarming gifts for family or friends or a Christmas stocking stuffer.
It’s very easy with my crochet pattern and instructions and can be made even by a crochet beginner.

Crochet Coasters
I’ve crocheted only 6 rounds, but you can make your coasters as large as you like using this pattern.
I recommend you use cotton yarn because it absorbs any moisture from your caps or glasses well and is easy to care for. But in fact, you can use different kinds of yarn that you have, do not be afraid to try.

So how to crochet a coaster. Let’s start!

Crochet coasters pattern

 

Circle: Ch 3. Join with sl st to first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc in ring,  sl st to top of ch 3.

Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, sl st to top of ch 3 to close round.

Round 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in next st, (1 dc, 2dc. ) repeat around. Slip stitch to join.

Round 4: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 1dc in same st, ( 1 dc, 1 dc, 2 dc  ) repeat around. Slip stitch to join.

Round 5: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 1 dc in next st, (2 dc, 1dc, 1dc, 1dc ) x 11 times, 2 dc, 1dc, slip stitch to join.

Round 6: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 1 dc in next st, 1 dc, 1 dc, 1 dc, 2 dc, ( 1 dc, 1 dc, 1 dc, 1 dc, 2 dc) repeat around. Slip stitch to join.

You can continue to crochet coaster making increases in each new round.
