I really like to make coasters. This is an easy way to please friends, because coasters are relevant for any home. Make it easy, quick and need a little yarn. Today we’ll crochet square coasters and I really hope you will love them. So let’s start!
Material:
- Acrilic yarn (50 g / 110 m), Colors: white, grey, salmon
- 3.5 mm crochet hook
- scissors
Measurement: square coaster is approx. 3.5 inches length and width
Abbreviations Used (In American Terms)
st= stitch
sts= stitches
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
How to crochet a square coasters:
Work in salmon color yarn:
1 Round: Ch 5, join into the ring
2 Round: Ch-3 (as a 1 dc) , 11 dc into the ring around, sl.st. to join
Work in grey color yarn:
3 Round: ch3 (as 1 dc) 2 dc in the same stitch, ch1, [3-dc Cluster, ch1] x 11 times, sl. st. to join
Work in salmon color yarn:
4 Round: ch1 (as 1 sc), Ch 3, [sc, ch3] x 11 times, sl. st. to join
Work in white color yarn:
5 Round: [sc 1 into ch-3 arch, ch1, 3 dc into same ch-3 arch, ch 1, sc into same ch-3 arch] x 12 times, sl. st. to join
Work in grey color yarn. Start from middle dc of cluster(sc-ch1-3dc-ch1-sc)
6 Round: [ 3 dc into same dc, ch 3, 3 dc into same dc, ch1, 1 dc into middle dc of next cluster, 2 hdc into same dc, Ch 1, 2 hdc into middle dc of next cluster, 1 dc into same dc, Ch 1 ] x 4 times, sl. st. to join.
7 Round: ch1, 2 SC, [ 2 sc into ch-3 arch, Ch 2, 2 sc into same ch-3 arch, 15 sc ] x 3 times, 2 sc into ch-3 arch, Ch 2, 2 sc into same ch-3 arch, 13 sc, sl. st. to join. Fasten off.
