Today I offer you an unusual crochet project – crochet baby crown. This is a wonderful gift for parents of the newborn, it make unforgettable photos and show all your love and warmth.
All parents are confident their child is a real Prince or Princess. And the Royal definitely needs a crown.
This simple crochet pattern help you to make the crown very easily and quickly. The crown has fastening on back side and easy to put on. It also help adjust the size.
As for the material, I recommend using soft cotton yarn. It is hypoallergenic and does not irritate delicate baby skin. So let’s start!
Materials: I used cotton yarn Golden Sun 50 gr / 180 m and crochet hook 2 mm.
Row 1: Ch 94, sc to second loop from the hook, 92 sc,
Row 2: Ch 3 (count as 1 dc), turn, 2 dc, (ch 2, skip 2 loops, 3 dc) x 18 times
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, 3 sc, ch 2, ( 1 sc into ch-2 arch, ch 2, 3 dc into ch-2 arch, ch 2, 3 dc into same ch-2 arch, ch 2, sc into ch-2 arch, ch 5 ) x 5 times, 1 sc into ch-2 arch, ch 2, 3 dc into ch-2 arch, ch 2, 3 dc into same ch-2 arch, ch 2, sc into ch-2 arch, ch 2, 3 sc.
Row 4: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc, ch 3, ( 3 dc into 3 dc-loops, 2 dc into ch-2 arch, ch 2, 2 dc into same ch-2 arch, 3 dc into 3 dc-loops, 1 dc into ch-5 arch ) x 5 times, 3 dc into 3 dc-loops, 2 dc into ch-2 arch, ch 2, 2 dc into same ch-2 arch, 3 dc into 3 dc-loops, ch 3, 2 sc
Row 5: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc, ch 4, [ (1 dc, ch 1, skip 1 loop ) x 2 times, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc into ch-2 arch, ch 1, picot, ch 1, 1 dc into same ch-2 arch, ch 1, (1 dc, ch 1, skip 1 loop ) x 2 times, 1 dc ] x 6 times, ch 4, 2 sc.
On the side make the edge with three loops for lacing (see step by step picture). Make 93 sc for moving to the other side and again make the edge with three loops for lacing. Fasten off.
Сrochet cord – make chain 16 inches (40 cm)
