My 12 years old daughter still plays with dolls. Her favorite is Kelly doll, Barbie’s younger sister. Therefore she often forgives me to crochet new clothes for her. Today I will tell you how to crochet shoes for a Kelly doll and another dolls 4 inches tall. It will take quite a bit of yarn and a little time, but the details are very small, so you may have to try several times.
I use white cotton yarn (50 g / 380 m) for the sole and thinner mercerized cotton (50 g / 450 m) for the upper part of the shoe.
Abbreviations:
CH – chain
SC – single crochet
DC – double crochet
sl.st. – slip stitch
How to crochet Kelly doll shoes:
Start with a thicker white cotton yarn, make the sole.
Row 1: Ch 6, sc into second stitch from hook, Ch 3, 4 sc into first chain, 3 sc, 3 sc into 5th stitch, sl. st. into first sc.
Row 2: Ch 1, 5 sc, sl. st. Fasten off.
Сhange the yarn.
Row 3: Ch 1, 5 sc, (2-sc in same stitch ) x 3 times, 5 sc, (2-sc into same stitch) x 2 times, sl. st. into first stitch.
Row 4: Ch 1, 3 sc, skip one stitch, 1 dc, skip stitch, dc4tog (4-dc together), skip stitch, 1 dc, skip stitch, 7 sc, sl. st into first sc. Fasten off.
