Cold weather has came to us and now crocheted warm clothes are very relevant. Don’t forget about your favorite Barbie dolls. They also need warmth and care!
I recently wrote how to crochet a warm Barbie dress. Today I will tell you how to crochet a warm scarf and hat for Barbie.
You will spend no more than 20 minutes on each product (scarf and hat). Difficulty level – beginner.
Material: I used Bamboo yarn (70% bamboo fiber, 30% cotton) 50 gr/120 m, color: gray and crochet hook 2.5 mm.
Abbreviations Used (In American Terms)
Ch – chain;
sc – single crochet;
dc – double crochet;
sl st – slip stitch;
sc2tog – sc the next 2 sts together;
FPdc – front post double crochet
BPdc – back post double crochet
How to crochet Barbie scarf:
Row 1: Ch 84, 1 dc to 5th stitch from hook, [ ch 1, skip 1 St, 1 dc ] x along the entire length,
Row 2: Ch 3 (count as 1 dc), [1 dc, Ch 1, skip 1 stitch] x along the entire length, 1 dc
Row 3: Ch 1, 1 sc, [ch 1, skip 1 stitch, 1 sc into ch-1 arch] x along the entire length
Row 4 (side): Ch 1, 6 sc, ch 1
Row 5: [1 sc, Ch 1, skip 1 stitch ] x along the entire length, 1 sc
Row 6 (side): ch-1, 6 sc.
Fasten off.
When you are finished crocheting, will make ponytails for a scarf. Take 6 pieces of yarn 12 inches (30 cm) long. We turn each piece 4 times. Using a hook, pull the yarn into each of the 6 stitches on the side. Tighten the loop. Trim evenly.
How to crochet hat for Barbie doll:
Row 1: Ch 35, join to ring. ch3 (count as 1 dc), 34 dc, sl. st. to join
Row 2-7: Ch 3 (count as 1 dc), [1 FPdc, 1 BPdc] x 17 times, sl. st. to join.
Row 8: Ch 3, [1 FPdc, skip 1 stitch] x 17 times, sl. st. to join
Row 9: Ch 1, 16 sc2tog. Fasten off.
Leave the thread at least 8 inches long. Thread the needle into the large eye. Tighten the hole. Cut the thread.
